Division 45 Bylaws
The mission of the American Psychological Association is defined as “advancing psychology as a science, profession, and as a means of promoting human welfare.” The mission of the Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity and Race reflects that of the American Psychological Association. Specifically, the Society serves as a means to promote: the development of knowledge and understanding of ethnic minority psychology; the application of psychological principles specific to ethnic minorities; consideration of how social concerns impact ethnic minority populations; and incorporation of the importance of diversity in society.
