Public Service Announcements for AAPI families facing COVID-19 Discrimination
In response to widespread reports of Covid-19 discrimination against Asian Americans, the Div 45 Anti-Asian Discrimination Task Force partnered with members of the Asian American Psychological Association to develop a public education campaign to educate Asian American families about how to discuss these issues with family members and communities, how to support those experiencing discrimination and to seek help when necessary.
Each campaign includes a short video and a single-panel infographic (available in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Bengali, Urdu, and Hindi). They are free to download, print, and share through social media. To download the infographics, right-click each image to save.
The first campaign (Acknowledge, Validate, Reframe) discusses how to support youth facing discrimination. The second (Use your WITS) focuses on strategies Asian Americans when confronted with Covid-related discrimination.
