Greetings! I am excited to introduce you to the Spring/Late Summer 2021 FOCUS. In this edition, I would like to honor our Student Editor, shola shodiya-zeumault, who took the primary editor’s role on this FOCUS. shola has served as FOCUS student editor since fall 2020 and has brought incredible vision into the newsletter, which she describes in her editorial. The publication of this edition concludes her one-year appointment as the student editor, and I would like to thank her for her wonderful service! Please take a moment to send your warm thoughts and wishes to shola!
I’d like to thank each and every one of the contributors on this edition. As I read through them I was reminded of very sobering reflections of the current state of our world along with hope, solidarity and commitment for a better future. I hope you are encouraged by these reflections as well, and are finding moments of rest, reconnection and rejuvenation this summer.
